Active Cit­i­zen­ship is a cir­cu­lar process of rais­ing aware­ness, chang­ing atti­tudes and tak­ing action based on the val­ues of cul­tur­al diver­si­ty, democ­ra­cy, human rights, social and envi­ron­men­tal jus­tice, work­ing and learn­ing together.

…using the radio/mass media as a tool for mak­ing an impact on soci­ety, mak­ing a dif­fer­ence, dis­trib­ute opin­ions, express­ing needs.

…when indi­vid­u­als learn to be more sen­si­tive and respon­si­ble for mul­ti­ple aspects of soci­etal con­cerns e.g. social / cul­tur­al diver­si­ty, envi­ron­men­tal issues, sus­tain­abil­i­ty, respect­ful demo­c­ra­t­ic soci­ety, fight against dis­crim­i­na­tion by active use of media.
